was watching this bollywood movie - swades, we. the people, on arts central the other day, and i am utterly convinced that i have to visit india at least once before i die. india's natural beauty just takes my breath away.
so i attended a friend's 21st birthday party a few days ago and it wasn't too bad. well it wasn't too bad cause i dared to be a bitch, and felt pretty darn good after being a bitch. haha. well, huisi and i only will know the full details. haha. just to say, food is not everything at a party. entertainment is. so if you're gonna throw a party or invite friends over, make sure your guests can entertain themselves. i couldn't quite imagine if i hadn't thrown my playing cards into my bag on a whim before heading out for his party, what would half of his friends be doing (plus there's no alcohol)?
oh but at least we got to know this cute guy at the party and he invited us to his 21st birthday chalet this saturday :D
speaking of 21st birthdays, i haven't quite decided how to celebrate mine (okay, there's no hurry since there's still like eight(?) months?). the parents have said they can help me book a chalet and all that, and it would be pretty cool, nevermind that chalets are like the most common thing, because i have never had my own chalet before so that would be something different, eh?
maybe i can think up of some theme - i know of friends doing costume parties and such; or maybe i will just scrape the whole idea and book a hotel room and just invite close friends, or just do cosy dinners with separate groups of friends. heh, interesting. i love organising stuff and playing host. oh but clubbing on my birthday is a big no-no, speaking from experience la. haha.
and also, i've realised i will have two years of 21st birthday parties to attend, since i know people from both the 86 and 87 batch (and some from the 88 batch!) and i don't mean acquaintances (though i'm pretty sure i'll get invited by some, as i already have been). so it means i'll be spending damn alot for presents and all, but nevermind 'cos i like attending parties! heh.
one thing's for sure though, you can expect alcohol at my party (: (once i get past the parents, that is).
