serious rambling rampage

i am such a stickler for plans, i scare myself. like i plan my week a week in advanced, and my weekends around midweek. and i like to see them to completion, and will get alil’ pissed (probably an understatement) if for some reasons the plans don’t go through.

have been going to clarke quay on fridays for the past few weeks now, it’s a damn good place to unwind and relax after a week’s of work. you can have dinner, chill out over a glass or two with a friend, and get ready for the weekend. and i like it when my weekends are packed with activities, so that way they seem longer! haha.

have i mentioned anyway that five weekdays don’t seem enough. i mean, when you’re working five days is more than enough; but when you’re making dinner plans with friends and long lost friends it’s like suddenly i don’t have enough days to meet everyone i wanna meet. plus the fact that i go for driving lesson at least once every week, so i’m left with four days or less; and also plus the fact i don’t really like to meet after work on mondays (just a personal preference).

but as of this week, i am not gonna have any plans. or at least not to. because, i officially declare this week Frugal Week!

i have been spending as frivolously as you can imagine for the past two weeks. it doesn’t help that my workplace is situated so conveniently at Bugis, so everyday is like a great opportunity to get a top, or a bag, or earrings yada yada. and i’ve just gotten a haircut - which sucks, i think. i never have luck with hair salons =/

so no more expensive meals, no more cabbing, no more buying of tops and bags and whathaveyous, frugal is as frugal will (i kinda came up with that phrase! i think).

my driving test date has been scheduled five days before my birthday, so when i pass (not if, must think positive) it’ll be a more than perfect 21st birthday present from myself to myself!

ohwells i miss school! i can’t believe i’ve been working for one month already now! another month more before school reopens!

was editing this article at work, and this quote came from some guy,

“I love Singapore because places like housing estates, hawker centres and shopping complexes are regularly upgraded. This prevents them from looking neglected and run-down. So everywhere you go, there is this sparkle and freshness around you.”

okay i so disagree with the guy. i would seriously rather PAPa stop renovating and upgrading buildings around singapore. do they get “vintage”?? or dainty and understated??

it’s like we’re so keen to have foreigners flock over our land with all those magnificient expensive buildings that we overlook preserving the natural old beauties of singapore. i mean come on, every HDB building looks the same now, can we please have more shop houses like those along joochiat road? even those old HDB buildings have a nice quintessential touch to it, don’t you think. anywhere in the world you can get gorgeous high-rise buildings, it’s the unique old crumbling buildings we should be keeping to maintain our singapore identity!

and yes, as you can tell, i’m on a serious rambling rampage. hahaha. good week ahead, y’all.

so let me be
a wild flower

its death shall be
the fading of beauty
