i realise time in hall passes by like really quickly. like i can come back at about eight p.m after dinner thinking it's still early, and before i know it, it's already ten, and then twelve! so it means i have to GRAB HOLD OF MY TIME!!

the past few days have been pretty eventful and i'm officially in love with Bugis! not just Bugis itself as in the shopping mall, in fact i don't like shopping malls that much - but it's the perimeters of Bugis Junction that has me falling head over heels.

i was at Bugis over the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, and seriously the circumference of Bugis has beautiful streets and lanes, with its vintage and antique buildings that i just love to death! think back to the red/white buildings that Flannery said he grew up in, and there's all these lovely temples and buildings with paintings adorned on them lining the area!

and yesterday, my virgin trip to Haji Lane! i love that place to bits, it's a camera-worthy place, and it's just so beautiful! away from the bustle and hustle of town, no crowds (yes that is one winning factor for me!), and the shops there are really dainty and pretty! there was one shop selling all these retro stuff that got me gushing away, and then there was this shop where the shop-owners' two cats were strolling around casually inside the shop, it was just so quaint!

a pity my phone had no memory left so i couldn't take much photos, but i swear i'll go back there really soon, and armed with (probably a friend's) camera! :D

just two miserable pictures to make up for the day out at Haji Lane :(
ok and this is not even Haji Lane, it's just a nearby temple. i love the colors, nonetheless

black and white photos at the retro shop

and of course, some camwhore moments! hahaha :D

ohh the gold glistens! a new necklace i bought at Topshop just a few days ago.

vandalism in the lift! haha.

i really love pretty, colorful and quaint buildings. i think Singapore ought to have more of those, and not just plainly upgrade them to modern dullness!

so Saturday i was at Bugis for this lunch buffet at Oxford Hotel with the church people, which we all agreed the food was so not worth the price! but well, for the experience, huh. took some crazy pictures as well (Eugene wouldn't leave my bulging tummy alone! goodness) will post them up when i get them from Eugene and Pris! (:

in other news, everybody around me, and i mean like everybody is getting attached! like every other day, i'll hear news of at least one new couple. haha! it is all so random that i am really quite in shock. i mean like, okay, i am happy for all my friends but like seriously! why all at one shot? getting ready for Valentine's Day? haha! but well i am still pretty fine with my current status (:

jazzed up my hall room a tiny bit. i love sunflowers and black/white postcards!

i realise i actually kind of (note the kind of) like dining alone, especially when the food is great, the ambience is great, and i have a good book or magazine at hand. it so beats having to make pointless conversations at times. like the other day at Eunos after my driving lesson, i was so hungry and it was already so late, so i headed to this Japanese sushi place, and they had these cosy counters where you can sit with a cup of hot green tea and sushi, and settle comfortably with a book. which i did! read a magazine as i savoured the lovely sushi, and although it was a first (i never dined alone outside before!) it was a pretty nice experience nonetheless. but of course, if it was great food coupled with great company and even better conversation, that would be the best (:

it'll be my 2nd driving test this coming Friday, and i want to commit this to God and have faith in Him! yall have a blessed week!

so let me be
a wild flower

its death shall be
the fading of beauty
