i just caught The Leap Years, and i am enthralled.

perhaps i am an ol' romantic-at-heart, perhaps i wish to believe that such love does exist - i sit in the cinema and for that two hours i am completely taken away.

Wong Li Lin as Li-Ann is beautiful and her nuanced performance excellent, and i love especially how familiar Singapore locations become romantic backdrops in the movie.

The Leap Years is a simple tearjerker of a traditional romantic movie, and i say leave reality and any cynicism you might have at the entrance before you embark on this heartwarming tale.

the word used most in love letters is not "love", but "miss",

... a wild flower dies
where it blooms

so let me be
a wild flower

its death shall be
the fading of beauty
