this question had me silently laughing to myself and going like huh?? during the exam yesterday,
The controversies behind Dolly the sheep arise because she was a/an __________. (4 marks)
(a) robot
(b) clone
(c) pet of Guglilmo Marconi
(d) alien
is my lecturer trying to be funny or what, anyone who hasn't actually been living under a rock for the past ten years would know the answer! and it's a giveaway for 4 marks la. but seriously, all the MCQ questions were pretty easy, and i think i could easily get all of them correct. the short-answer questions are another matter altogether though, but i thank God nonetheless that the paper was more or less a breeze and i've made it through (:
❤so - a few things have happened/are going to happen. first up, cell retreat which happened last Saturday. big thanks to Liecong and the organising committee who ensured that every single detail was taken care of, right up to the very delicious BBQ food! and it was indeed a time of refreshing too, a time to just quieten down and reflect upon the past half a year that has whizzed us by, and His many amazing works in my life. also a great time to catch up with some of the ex-cell leaders!
❤i've also watched
The Dark Knight! and gosh, can i just gush about the Joker?? Heath Ledger is absolutely brillant as the Joker, it's really a pity that he (Heath Ledger, not the Joker) is gone. sigh, i was completely absorbed by him (well, the Joker, not so Heath Ledger - am i even making sense??) during the movie, just waiting for his scene. Among his many brilliant and starkly disturbing witty liners, two that i remember -
"What doesn't kill you....makes you stranger."
"If you're good at something, why do it for free?"
i know the big hoohaa about the Joker right now is probably because it was played by an actor who is now dead, but i reckon even if Ledger is alive right now, i would still go ga-ga over the Joker (and so would a million others).
but Ledger's death has undoubtedly immortalised his role as Joker forever, and i would love to watch
The Dark Knight a second time, and even a third time... if only to savour the Joker's malice and wry humor in all its dark glory.
❤and one other very, very important thing that is coming up...
Happy 23rd Birthday,
Jonathan Ji Jiayang!!!
❤
i love you.
