i'm so glad a friend posted this link on Facebook - i saw the trailer for it last year on artscentral but missed the show, and was beating myself up over it. i have always liked short local stories and films, and was particularly intrigued to see how a film with a gay theme made it to local TV.
"Print-to-screen adaptation of Christine Suchen Lim's eponymous short story. This version is a concatenation of the scene excerpts containing only the gay storyline moiety of the complete film broadcast on 30 Dec 07 at 9 pm. This local made-for-television mini-movie was groundbreaking in Singaporean television and censorship history because it did not portray a male gay person as effeminate or in a negative light, and the story had a happy ending - the homosexual son and his boyfriend were accepted as part of the family."click

The Morning After.in other news, i'm so glad the weekend is here. this past week have been tiring - rushing presentations and assignments and proposals. but now,
all my tutors suddenly decided to take a break together and so this weekend i actually have nothing much to do. ha! the joy :)
some pictures from Joanna's wedding the last sunday at Rasa Hotel:)
(most pictures courtesy of isabel's digicam)

that's aiwei, isabel, amelia and yours truly.
ben ong and i looking through the beautiful wedding photos, taken at Krabi. you could literally see the bliss radiating from Joanna's and Li Yan's faces :)
daniel and i!
aiwei, rachel and myself, picture taken by zhiwei. sadly the four of us had to be split from the rest of the cell so we were sitting with a family of six!
the cute souvenir everyone got at the table.
video of the wedding photos for all to see :)
ooh, and ben ong and i got to be the bubble-gunners for Joanna's and Li Yan's entrance! hahaha so exciting.
popping the champagne!
the lovely couple.
flannery and i!

and there was this one-man skit by Fabian where he acted as both Joanna and Li Yan to illustrate how they met. very entertaining and hilarious, indeed :)
food was buffet-style and it was delicious, i loved the desserts and cakes and ice-cream and had like many helpings, much to the amusement of the cell. ha!
it was interesting since it was the first friend's wedding i have ever attended. my mother was telling me to get some ideas so that i know what to do for my own wedding in future. HAHA.
hello weekend!
things will get better, things are already getting better!
loves.
