Ugly Betty Season 2 Ep 1 left me in tears!
and speaking of tears, i've also completed The Kite Runner and now view Afghanistan and kites and twelve-year-old boys in a different light. not necessarily negative, mind you, just an opening of my mind's eyes that can border perilously on the conservative sometimes.
and yes, The Kite Runner is absolutely stunning, shattering and inspiring all at once.
i just thought it was pretty clichéd at some points and the plot was kind of expected. but Khaled Hosseini sums it up in these few sentences (and one of my favourite quote from the book as well):
...
a wild flower dies
where it blooms
so let me be
a wild flower
its death shall be
the fading of beauty
