where did my recess week go? let me count the ways-
monday, the fyp group came over at 11am and left at 11pm. in between the serious dicussions and completing of our lit review were lots of video viewing on facebook and youtube and snacking on fruits and chips and chocolate that the mother brought in. after which, i managed to somehow convince my mum to let me have the car to drive out to meet eugene, flannery and daniel for supper at macdonald's when my ankle was still wrapped up in cotton crepe bandage. and then i sent them all back home - eugene at pasir ris which is one of the furthest i have gone without my parents in the car - and i stay at tampines. (yes i know, the horror)
wednesday, it was off to jb, malaysia for some cheap, good food and even cheaper shopping. jon and i met the rest at kranji mrt in the early morning - i wanted so much to sleep in but i'm glad i dragged myself off the bed. first we had herbal duck rice, then watched "Gamer" for only RM6 which converts to about S$2 plus but then i would have rather paid the full price to watch it back in sg cos the movie was so heavily censored -_- desserts at Secret Recipe, shopping (where the both of us managed to get some good buys!) followed by a sumptuous seafood dinner afterwards. the guys wanted kfc after that but thank God they didn't and we headed back to sg cos i was so tired by then.
thursday, fyp meeting at ntu with the profs at 2pm and i frankly thought it would take at most slightly more than an hour but we ended only at about 5pm. i was so hungry by then my stomach wouldn't stop growling, i actually went to eat by myself at sakae sushi - i couldn't care less. it had to be one of the most fulfilling meals i have had at sakae even though i only had 5 plates. got news later from the boy that he failed his running for ippt by 7 seconds :( was going to go meet him at his place for supper when he surprised me by appearing outside my lift :) thanks for the surprise, love :)
yesterday, attempted to do some work at teadot@iluma with the boy but frankly i didn't think i managed to do much. damn. but thank God at least i think he did, eh. then it was dinner at swensens with the captain's ball team and our $150 voucher that we won as 1st prize! introduced huisi to l4d afterwards and i think she is loving it just as much as i am! l4d is best played with friends and the session yesterday with jon, hansel and huisi was one of the most fun i have had.
today was self-denial day - denial of the fact that recess week is coming to an end and all that's left between me and school reopening is one miserable day. and i have got nothing much to show for it in terms of catching up with school work and completing my assignments. argh i am so not ready for school and i'm so procrastinating on my assignments. i need divine intervention!
