because desperate times call for desperate measures,

we put up a hugeass sign at Bugis on a whim when our approaching strangers cold did not work as well as we hoped it would.

FYP groupmates Cathryn & Jingting.

we are super not shy at all can. LOL.

sorry no photo of Waimun as she was held up by a 50-something old year man who was busy telling her about how his two 30-year old sons are very successful in their career but have no wives.

our first focus group on Friday was quite a success, if i may say so myself. Waimun and i were busy being sai-gang warriors fetching parents who lost their way while Jingting & Cathryn were psyching themselves up as moderator and assistant moderator and talking to the parents who were early.

there were a few parents who backed out at the last minute, leaving us on tenterhooks - responsibility so does not come with age!- that we wouldn't have enough participants but thank God we had about 7 people and i think we did pretty well for our first ever focus group!

1 down, 4 more to go (for the month of December).

i think going through this really helped me understand more about myself in terms of what i would do or say in various situations as well as really pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. (wahlao i keep having grammatical errors as i am typing can't stand it zzzz)

this also made me realise that my mother is really the best at times - she helped me got about 7 - 8 participants just by talking to them unlike some of my ahem, friends whose parents fit the bill and whom i have approached for their help to talk to their parents; yet they either took super long to talk to their parents or i would assume did not try hard enough to help. it's like, you only need to talk to at most 2 people (either your dad or mom?) to help your friend out for her FYP, is it that difficult on your part? what's more there's nothing to lose, your mom/dad gets S$50 monetary incentives.

just needed to bitch and get it off my chest here, no offence.

in other news, very long never play l4d2 already. after next week i'm so going to go shoot some zombies in their heads.

so let me be
a wild flower

its death shall be
the fading of beauty
