it's already september! time flies. i've went for two interviews (only) so far and i haven't heard anything from them since, but it's okay 'cos i figured they're both not what i really wanna be doing either. so i'm still on the search... and hopefully it will come up with something good. meanwhile i've went for a wedding dinner at conrad where the bride is my age, watched a whole lot of tv, flew a kite for the first time in a long while and did a few part-time jobs where the pay is obviously not fantastic but i got to know new and interesting people.
shufen and sherman's wedding at conrad on the 21 august. the bride was at her radiant best and i loved the performances put up by her friends - there was singing, dancing, a video and even the bride and groom took to the stage for a duet. (shufen is the worship leader in church so that makes sense) the food was also really awesome and i must say it was one of the better wedding dinners i have attended: food-check, entertainment-check.
i've got another wedding dinner to attend later this oct and again next sep, all courtesy of jon as both his brothers (twin and elder) are getting hitched! but no pressure here yet la hahaha. and for this oct i'll be -surprise surprise- doing the emcee-ing with their sister. hahaha it'll be my first time emcee-ing a wedding dinner so fingers crossed let's hope everything goes smoothly!
which also reminds me i really need to get more dresses and shoes and accessories and clutch bags to attend wedding dinners in.

we have been wanting to fly a kite for the longest time but always didn't get the chance to. so on wednesday afternoon without planning to we bought a kite and headed to the beach! i love spontenous decisions ;) isn't the kite so pretty against the blue sky!
for the past week every morning i have been at a primary school being a games facilitor for hpb teaching the kids about nutrition and exercise and what not. it was tiring as hell but the kids can be really adorable (of course there're the monsters but that's thankfully in the minority). more importantly, the bunch of young people i worked with were really awesome and fun. another plus point was that i got the job with flannery, so at least i already knew someone before going in. also we all played l4d2, so that's what we did one afternoon ;)
one tiny taint in this week of wholesome fun was, can you believe it, not by any student but by a teacher -_- who turned up late with her class but was really unreasonable and rude. not gonna go into the details but i learnt that i gotta remember to maintain my cool when faced with such people. if and when i really go into the PR industry, i will really need my PR skills, and not let my emotions get the better of me. regardless, it has been a great week and i hope we get to keep in touch! :)
