this is to honor the victims in the tragic virginia tech shootings, and a tribute to one extraordinary man's selflessness, a hero.

Liviu Librescu, 77, was teaching a class when they heard the shots. he threw himself in front of the door to block the killer from getting in, yelling for his students to escape through the window.

in doing so, he was shot to death through the door.

i have only deep respect for him. he has family, yet in that crucial moment he gave his life for duty and to save his students.

it is only at one's last moments of life that show who one really is.

i pray there will not be a replay of such a tragedy. much more can be done.

there is so much more out there, so much more to life. stop thinking the world revolves around you and you alone, that makes me sick.

Crazy (?) Korean kills at least thirty, wounds seventeen in shooting spree at Virginia Tech

the guy sounds like the ultimate archetype of the quiet loner (he even has an imaginiary girlfriend). but i have to say, part of my heart goes out to him. being asian in america must not be easy, and the plays he wrote, as sick and perverted they were, must have been a cry for help.

i was sitting at the exam hall today looking at the sea of university students, and i really thank god that such a tragedy will not happen here.

anyhow, on a brighter note. FOUR DOWN ONE MORE TO GO :DD

i think my erractic sleeping habits have finally taken a toll on my body. today doing 106 must have been my worst paper ever, not because of the questions, but because my nose was dripping the entire time. thank god the paper's only 30%.
